Great food and service! We enjoyed the tasty food and great service. The second floor was great for watching the northern lights. Highly recommended. You must visit it when you are in Barrow.
Best Chinese food in Barrow. The menu has a variety of options. I recommend the Spicy chicken fried rice.
Great place to eat! I really like the spam eggs n rice plate. The spam is not cut thin and is a good thickness. The Mongolian beef is about the best I've had anywhere! And the Fresh Kimchee is OMG Good! Return customer here. Sorry no pic.

Sam & Lees is a great restaurant at the Top Of the World! Crab Ragoon and Cashew Chicken are now my favorites here. If you like spicy go for the usual Mongolian beef. We were a part of 4 and we were all happy and full after a good meal here in this nice restaurant. Two of us took to-go boxes. There's a spacious area upstairs which seats a lot of people so you have elbow room. Service with a smile from owner Mrs. Kim and family members and quick too. Yes, it can be expensive to eat here. But considering how fresh the food was and that it can only be brought in air freight here prices are understandable. Travelers, check this place out!
I traveled to Barrow for my 40th birthday and spent my lunch at Sam & Lees. The service was phenomenal. They invited me inside (inside closed since covid) and served me pecan pie and even sang me happy birthday. When eating in Barrow, you have to have some grace because they are so limited in the resources they have to make high-quality food. Although the food was good, the experience was great.
I love this place so much!!! It reminds me of my late grandmother's cooking!!! The people here are so nice and respectful, they really care about the food. The menu is so diverse and such a wide selection is so rare in these regions of the world. Being from the islands makes me love the cuisine here!

The food was good, better than I expected considering the restaurant is located at the northern edge of the world. The staff were very friendly. Prices were as expected for the remote location but ,in balance, my portion size was huge.
